Caverta 50 mg is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains sildenafil citrate, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that enhances blood flow to the penis, enabling a man to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation. Caverta can be taken with or without food, but high-fat meals may delay its onset. Common side effects include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion, and dizziness. Serious but rare side effects include priapism (prolonged erection), vision or hearing loss, and chest pain, which require immediate medical attention.
