Peter G. Martin is a first-time author with a mission to spread joy and positivity to the world. With his first illustrated children’s storybook out now, he plans to author many more books that fuel children’s imagination and inspire character development. His latest book teaches many vital lessons to budding young brains, including the value of friendship, the importance of trust and the virtues of acceptance. All of this is taught through an adventurous journey to space and back.

Dragons on the Purple Moon takes children and their parents on a unique visual adventure together. The book uses creativity and imagination to help children bond with their parents and develop a love for reading from a very young age. It also encourages parents to spend more time with their children and contribute proactively towards their personal growth. Peter’s new book takes its inspiration from the spoken bedtime stories Peter told his kids, Hannah and Gavin. He wanted the story to be a source of joy and learning for other children, so he visualized it in an exciting new children’s story book.

In 2017, Peter chose to take an early retirement from his career in the aerospace manufacturing industry when his son was diagnosed with cancer. It was the power of imagination, storytelling, and make believe that kept the family’s spirits high and helped them get through the toughest of times. The experience also was a reminder to Peter to have fun every day. At home or in the hospital, Peter shares this story to bring joy to children with cancer and help them grow stronger. Peter is donating a percentage of the proceeds from this book to the Santa Barbara’s Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation to help support children and families who are battling cancer
