Adult dosage of tramadol extended-release for pain is 100 mg orally one time a day for the initial phase of treatment; then, your medical healthcare provider may raise the amount by 100 mg per day every five days. The maximum amount of tramadol XR should not exceed 300 mg per day.

Tramadol dosage for back pain will be similar to the doses of chronic pain because back pain belongs to the chronic pain category (due to the consistent and prolonged pain).

The usual geriatric dosage of tramadol for acute and chronic pain should be low as per the doctor’s prescription, and the maximum amount should not exceed 300 mg per day.

What to do if someone overdose on tramadol?
