HIV infection, commonly known as acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), is a worldwide pandemic that affects a variety of people. AIDS is an immunodeficiency illness spread chiefly through sexual, parenteral, and perinatal exposure. Millions of people are thought to be living with HIV/AIDS in various parts of the world. However, developing countries and low- and middle-income countries have the highest prevalence of this lethal virus, creating significant public health implications in terms of disease control.
