Sony has launched its blockchain network, Soneium, as a layer-2 blockchain built on Ethereum in collaboration with Startale Labs. Managed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, Soneium aims to integrate Web3 with existing internet services, supporting industries like entertainment and finance. Sony’s long-term strategy includes protecting creators’ rights and expanding blockchain through Optimism’s Superchain and a testnet launch using Op Stack.
