Human biomaterials, also called human biospecimens, are of different types. For example, human blood, serum, plasma, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, semen, vaginal secretion, semen, saliva, DNA, and other liquid human biospecimens. Also, solid biospecimens, including human tissues, organs, faeces, skin, teeth, bone, hair, are also widely used in research. All of the biospecimens gathered have been well-preserved in biobanks or biorepositories.
